Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, we are fully licensed in the states of Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, and Texas.
When selecting a contractor to complete the work on your home, make sure they offer a warranty on both the workmanship and the materials with terms and conditions that satisfy your needs and give you the peace of mind you deserve. A roof replacement can cost as much as a new car- don’t let your contractor substitute a promise of quality for a tangible, written, long-term warranty that can be transferred to future owners. If you get a new roof on your home- you should be able to sell that value to future owners as an increase in the value of your property. A new roof with a poor warranty is of little value outside of its appearance (if it’s done well-of course).
At Blackwell Roofing we offer a craftsmanship warranty that states we will repair (free of charge) any craftsmanship issue that should arise during an agreed upon time frame following completion of the job. Blackwell Roofing is also a Malarkey Certified and GAF Certified Contractor which allows the homeowner the option to receive a product warranty second to none within the roofing industry.
We’d be happy to give you a second opinion as well as a free inspection. Over time, storm damage may become a lot more apparent; if this is true in your case, there could still be some options for you with your insurance company.
If you are a homeowner looking for a trustworthy roofing company, there’s a good chance your property has been damaged in a recent storm. Due to the severity of weather, thousands of roofs are replaced every year due to hail and wind damage. These roof replacements are typically covered by most homeowners’ insurance policies.
A quality roofing company should know the “ins and outs” of the insurance claims process to best help the members of their community. If your roofing contractor is unable to explain your insurance claim in plain English that is a red flag.
For many of our customers, a hail/wind claim is the first and last claim they will ever file on their homeowner’s insurance policy. Having a good understanding of this process allows us to best help homeowners maximize the return on their insurance investments.
If you have recently filed a claim with your insurance company, received an insurance settlement, or would just like to know whether it makes sense to pursue an insurance claim, Blackwell Roofing can help. Call us today and a representative who is well-versed in the claims process will be able to help you in as little as 24 hours.
insurance claims process
Many homeowners call their insurance company first, however, your roof may not have damage. In this case you may have this “claim” count against you anyway. Start with a free, no-obligation roof inspection and get a detailed inspection report.
With your inspection report in hand you can file your claim on your homeowner’s policy with confidence. Your insurance company will likely ask you if your roof has already been inspected and if you have selected a contractor. Keep in mind, you can work with any roofing company you wish. It is entirely your choice.
When they inspect the roof together, they are more likely to be on the same page about what will be covered by insurance. This will save you a lot of back and forth phone calls. And you will be able to get the project started more quickly.
At this point in the process, our customers are assigned a Project Manager who is the homeowner’s point of contact for the duration of the project. Typical roof replacements take 1-2 days, start to finish. You are not required to be home when the work is being done.
