Ventilation

QUALITY MATERIAL. QUALITY ATTENTION.

Optimal Attic Ventilation

The building science community recommended attic ventilation as a bare minimum to manage residential roof moisture. This involves the intake of cool air and the exhaust of hot moist air. Optimal attic ventilation allows a continuous flow and helps lower temperatures in the living space.

 Effective attic ventilation

Poor Attic Ventilation Can Ruin Your Insulation, raise your energy bills and allow moisture to be trapped in your attic. 90% of the homes in North America are estimated to have improperly ventilated attics. An attic not properly ventilated can cause heat to rise beyond 160°F and eventually enter the living areas through insulation.

Winter Ventilation

During the winter, ice and snow can melt and run-off to cooler eaves where it re-freezes. This can create an ice dam that traps moisture which can damage your ceiling and walls. Attic ventilation reduces the amount of melting preventing the potential damage.
